With the help of the recently implemented link attributes rel=“author“ and rel=“me“ it is now possible to network your own Google+ profile with your website. On the basis of this networking it is possible for Google to assign all the postings of an author to their Google+ profile. Google already uses this knowledge to display the postings in the results pages where right next to the search result it shows the profile image of the author.
